"The SKY RC D750 MIX 1600W dual-channel charger was designed to provide everything needed to charge two high-cell-count batteries simultaneously at high currents ‘all in one place,’ including a power supply, with simple operation and the ability to communicate with the SkyCharger app. The D750 MIX allows you to charge and discharge common battery types (NiCd, NiMH, Li-poly, Li-ion, Li-Fe, Li-HV, Pb); in addition, both channels are equipped with built-in eight-channel balancers, which ensure very safe and convenient charging of lithium batteries. It can also operate in parallel charging mode, where both channels charge a single battery at a current of 33–50 A. When connected to an external BD350 or BD380 discharger, it allows discharging at a current of up to 40 A with a maximum power of 350 W and also offers a regenerative discharge mode with a power of up to 1,100 W. In addition to the D750 MIX charger, it also features a built-in stabilized power supply with an adjustable output voltage of 5–36 V and a current of 0.3–32 A, complete with its own display and control buttons.
The intelligent software offers standard functions and is designed for practical users who purchase the charger to charge batteries, while also allowing them to control and monitor the charging process via the SkyCharger app on a smartphone using Bluetooth. The Scan to GO system in the app uses QR codes affixed to battery labels to identify the batteries and automatically set pre-saved charging parameters:.
- a program for new types of “high-voltage” LiHV lithium batteries with a charging cut-off voltage of 4.35 V
- settings for the charging and discharging cut-off voltages for lithium batteries (allows for gentler charging, which pilots prefer, or, conversely, overcharging, which “car enthusiasts” favor)
- regenerative discharge mode (the battery connected to channel B is discharged at up to 1100 W, and the energy extracted is used to charge the battery connected to channel A)
- Parallel charging mode
- Option to connect an external discharger for discharging up to 350 W
- Intelligent power distribution between both charging channels based on actual demand
- Programs for charging maintenance-free lead-acid AGM batteries and charging lead-acid batteries at low temperatures
- Measurement of total voltage and individual cell voltages (for lithium batteries) even outside of charging/discharging
- Measurement of internal resistance of the entire pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
Overview of Basic Functions and Parameters
- Input supply voltage 9–49 V DC (to fully utilize the charger’s power, the power supply should provide a voltage of at least 30 V)
- AC power supply 100–240 V/50–60 Hz
- For charging and discharging 1–20 NiCd/NiMH cells, 1–8 Li-ion/LiPo/LiFe/LiHV cells, or 6/12/24 V lead-acid batteries with liquid electrolyte and maintenance-free AGM batteries
- Adjustable charging current: 0.1 A – 32.0 A; 33.0–50.0 A when charging in parallel mode
- Adjustable discharging current: 0.1 A – 4.0 A; 0.5–40.0 A when an external BD350/BD380 discharger is connected
- Max. total charging power: 500 W when powered from the mains or 1,600 W when powered from a DC source (up to 1,100 W when charging in a single channel only)
- Max. discharge power: 45 W; up to 350 W with an external BD350/BD380 discharger connected, or 1,100 W in regenerative discharge mode
- Charging termination via delta-peak automatic control for NiCd and NiMH batteries
- Lithium and lead-acid batteries are charged using the “constant current/constant voltage” method
- Adjustable delta-peak detection sensitivity for NiCd and NiMH batteries
- Adjustable end-of-charge and end-of-discharge voltages for lithium and lead-acid batteries
- Repeated charge/discharge or discharge/charge cycles for NiCd and NiMH batteries, up to 3 cycles
- Three charging modes for lithium batteries—normal charging, charging with an emphasis on balancing, and storage charging/discharging
- Three charging modes for lead-acid batteries—for standard lead-acid “car batteries,” for lead-acid AGM batteries (batteries with electrodes separated by a glass-fiber separator impregnated with electrolyte), and for charging lead-acid batteries at low temperatures (-20°C to +5°C).
- Charging stops when the set time, charge capacity, or temperature is exceeded (with an external temperature sensor—sold separately).
- Measurement of the total voltage of the pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- Measurement of the total internal resistance of the pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- Bluetooth 5.0 module for wireless communication with the SkyCharger app, including the Scan to GO system for identifying and configuring battery charging parameters using QR codes affixed to your batteries
- USB-C port functioning as a power/charging source for mobile devices with the PD3.0 protocol, delivering up to 20 W
- Backlit LCD display with a simple and intuitive menu and real-time parameter display during charging/discharging; separate display for the adjustable power supply
- A series of warning messages ensures safe operation—incorrect input voltage, improper connection, unsuitable battery or battery condition, incorrect output polarity, etc.
- Protection against reverse polarity and output short circuits.
- Fan for forced cooling.
- Compact plastic enclosure
- Built-in high-performance power supply.
The charger is equipped with XT60 output sockets and universal sockets for JST-XH service connectors on both channels, allowing you to directly connect battery power cables and JST-XH service connectors for 2-8S packs—if you use packs with XT60 and JST-XH connectors, you can do without charging cables and adapters entirely. To connect service connectors from other systems, you can use standard Sky RC adapters.
Note: When charging lead-acid batteries, the charger uses a terminal voltage adjustable within the range of 2.30–2.75 V/cell (in Normal mode)—for this reason, it is suitable not only for charging conventional lead-acid batteries (car batteries) and gel batteries with a reversible valve, but also for charging gas-tight gel batteries, which must not be charged to more than 2.30 V/cell.
The charger set includes: D750 MIX charger, power cord, 12 stickers with QR codes, and instructions.
