The SKY RC T1000 Maestro 1000W dual-channel charger was designed to provide everything needed to charge two batteries simultaneously at high currents “all in one unit,” including a power supply, and with simple operation. The T1000 allows you to charge and discharge common battery types (NiCd, NiMH, Li-poly, Li-ion, Li-Fe, Li-HV, Pb); in addition, both channels are equipped with built-in six-channel balancers, which ensure very safe and convenient charging of lithium batteries. It can also operate in parallel charging mode, where both channels charge a single battery at a current of 20–35 A. When connected to an external BD350 discharger, it allows discharging at a current of up to 40 A at a maximum power of 350 W.

The intelligent software offers standard features and is designed for practical users who purchase the charger to charge batteries, not to look at pretty pictures on the display of a fancy smartphone:

  • a program for new types of “high-voltage” LiHV lithium batteries with a charging cut-off voltage of up to 4.35 V
  • settings for charging and discharging cut-off voltages for lithium batteries (allows for gentler charging, preferred by pilots, or, conversely, aggressive overcharging, favored by “car enthusiasts”)
  • intelligent power distribution between both charging channels based on actual demand
  • programs for charging maintenance-free AGM lead-acid batteries and for charging lead-acid batteries at low temperatures
  • Measurement of total voltage and individual cell voltages (for lithium batteries) even outside of charging/discharging
  • Measurement of internal resistance of the entire pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)

Of course, both channels include a socket for a temperature sensor.

Overview of Basic Functions and Parameters

The charger is equipped with XT60 output sockets and universal sockets for JST-XH service connectors on both channels, allowing you to directly connect battery power cables and JST-XH service connectors for 2-6S packs—if you use packs with XT60 and JST-XH connectors, you won’t need any charging cables or adapters at all. To connect service connectors from other systems, you can use standard Sky RC or RC System adapters.

You can purchase a temperature sensor to measure the temperature of batteries being charged or discharged.

Note: When charging lead-acid batteries, the charger uses a cut-off voltage of 2.40 V/cell (or 2.46 V/cell in the AGM battery program and in the cold-charge program) – for this reason, it is suitable for charging conventional lead-acid batteries (car batteries) and gel batteries with a reversible valve. It is not suitable for charging gas-tight gel batteries, which must not be charged to more than 2.30 V/cell.
