The SKY RC B6neo2 300W charger was designed to provide everything needed for high-current charging, with simple operation, in a size that fits “in the palm of your hand” or “in a vest pocket.” The B6neo2 allows you to charge and discharge common battery types (NiCd, NiMH, Li-poly, Li-ion, Li-Fe, Li-HV, Pb); it also features a built-in six-channel balancer that ensures very safe and convenient charging of lithium batteries. It can also operate in regulated power supply mode with an output voltage adjustable between 5–27 V and a current of 1–15 A.
The intelligent software offers standard functions and is designed for practical users who purchase the charger to charge batteries:
- a program for new types of “high-voltage” LiHV lithium batteries with a charging cut-off voltage of up to 4.35 V
- settings for charging and discharging cut-off voltages for lithium batteries (allowing for gentler charging, which pilots prefer, or, conversely, aggressive overcharging, favored by “car model enthusiasts”)
- programs for charging maintenance-free AGM lead-acid batteries and charging lead-acid batteries at low temperatures
- measurement of total voltage and individual cell voltages (for lithium batteries) even outside of charging/discharging
- Measurement of the internal resistance of the entire pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
Overview of basic functions and parameters
- Input supply voltage 10–28 V DC (to fully utilize the charger’s power, the power source should provide at least 24 V) when powered by a battery or a stabilized AC power source, or 12–20 V when powered by a USB source (PD3.0/QC)
- For charging and discharging 1–15 NiCd/NiMH cells, 1–6 Li-ion/Li-poly/Li-Fe/LiHV cells, or 6/12 V lead-acid batteries
- Adjustable charging current: 0.1 A – 15.0 A
- Adjustable discharge current (0.1 A – 2.0 A)
- Max. charging power: 300 W when powered by a wall outlet or car battery, or 80 W when powered by a USB-C source (PD3.0/QC)
- Max. discharge power: 24 W
- Charging termination via delta-peak detection for NiCd and NiMH batteries
- Lithium and Pb batteries are charged using the “constant current/constant voltage” method
- Adjustable delta-peak detection sensitivity for NiCd and NiMH batteries
- Adjustable end-of-charge and end-of-discharge voltages for lithium batteries
- Repeated charge/discharge or discharge/charge cycles for NiCd and NiMH batteries, up to 5 cycles
- Three charging modes for lithium batteries—normal charging, charging with an emphasis on balancing, and storage charging/discharging
- Three charging modes for lead-acid batteries—for standard lead-acid “car batteries,” for lead-acid AGM batteries (batteries with electrodes separated by a glass-fiber separator impregnated with electrolyte), and for charging lead-acid batteries at low temperatures (-20°C to +5°C).
- Charging stops when the set time or delivered charge is exceeded
- Measurement of total pack voltage and individual cell voltages (for lithium batteries)
- Measurement of total internal resistance of the pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- Backlit LCD display with a simple and intuitive menu and real-time parameter display during charging/discharging
- A series of warning messages ensures safe operation—incorrect input voltage, incorrect connection, unsuitable battery or battery condition, incorrect output polarity, etc.
- Protection against reverse polarity and output short circuits.
- Fan for forced cooling.
- Compact plastic enclosure, miniature dimensions
The charger is equipped with an XT60 output socket and a universal socket for JST-XH service connectors, allowing you to directly connect battery power cables and JST-XH service connectors for 2-6S packs—if you use packs with XT60 and JST-XH connectors, you can do without charging cables and adapters entirely. To connect service connectors from other systems, you can use standard Sky RC or RC System adapters.
Note: When charging lead-acid batteries, the charger has an adjustable cut-off voltage of 2.30–2.75 V/cell —for this reason (when properly set for the type of battery being charged), it is suitable for charging all types of lead-acid batteries, including sealed gel batteries, which must not be charged to more than 2.30 V/cell.
The charger kit includes: the B6neo2 charger and instructions.
