During the first weekend of November, you could visit us at the 24th annual Faszination Modellbau, a huge model fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Tens of thousands of visitors gradually passed by our stand. And many of you even visited several times. So what was there to see?
You could see and try out the new V20 Pro radio – in all its glory. We also introduced the new TD Pro transmission system with it. Based on your feedback, we decided that the bright red colour finish deserves to be in the basic KAVAN transmitter lineup. So in the end, there will be three colours to choose from – grey, white and red.
We didn't do very well with new aircraft this year. But one was found – Redy wooden glider kit. It will soon be available with three wing options: beginner's, thermal and aerobatic. The wingspan ranges from 1400 mm to 1700 mm, the fuselage is almost a meter long, and the kit, made of pre-cut parts, costs from 189.9 €.
We recently announced new 12-volt GO servos. So here they are. The pair GO-1182SHV and GO-11T82SHV are specially designed to control the swashplate and the trim rotor of helicopters. Both are programmable, in an all-aluminium box, with an output shaft mounted on 3 ball bearings, titanium/hardened steel gears, and weigh 82.5 g.
Part of this year's exhibition was also the presentation of the KAVAN glow engines range. We presented popular ABC two-strokes and ringed four-strokes, a twin-cylinder boxer, and an impressive radial five-cylinder. The return of these engines to the market also means the full availability of all spare parts.
We showed that the application of GO servos goes beyond the RC world. The Industry range targets industrial applications. We supply them to the automotive and aerospace industries, filmmakers, manufacturers of automatic robots, and they are also used in air conditioning or healthcare. We also produce them in a 360° configuration, which offers the possibility to adjust parameters and choose the MODBUS, CAN or UART protocol.
Zeus is the servo MKS brand for industrial use. It focuses primarily on developing solutions for mechanical control or commercial and military unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The cooperation with NASA on the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter project also confirms the reliability. Of course, they can also be used on Earth — for example, in agricultural drones, robots, or submarines.
Several models were flying through the sky in the hands of our pilots. We started with a gasoline pair of 104" Extra NG from OMPHOBBY. This was followed by foam gliders Twisty, TwinShark and Pulse V2 and then Skyfox with Norden. In the meantime, we diluted the aircraft's concentration with a Goblin IL Pro helicopter with 12V Go servos. The weather this year was also not exemplary, so we missed all the Sunday outdoor performances due to the autumn gloom.
Thank you for visiting our booth, for your constructive feedback, and even for just coming to say hello. We look forward to seeing you next season, during which we will also bring up other new products.
