KAVAN four-stroke engines are an excellent choice for any „Sunday flyer’s“ sporty, aerobatic and - more than anything - scale model aircraft. Reliable operation and very easy running-in and fine-tuning make them, in the best sense of the word, „consumer’s“ engines that everybody who loves the beautiful, deep „puffing“ sound can afford to buy and fly. Given adequate care and maintenance, they will reliably power your models for many years to come.

KAVAN FS-30AR is a four-stroke engine with a glow plug of classic ringed design, ideal especially for scale model aircraft. It is equipped with a twin-needle RC carburettor; the set also includes a muffler.

The crankshaft has an UNF 1/4-28 propeller nut/bolt thread.

Recommended propeller:
Running-in: 9×6"
Sportster: 9×6"
Scale: 10.5×6, 11×5"

Recommended fuel tank: 100–170 ml.

Recommended fuel: KAVAN 4T Air 5% nitro for running-in and regular flying; after the motor has been broken-in, you can switch to KAVAN 4T Air 10 % or 15 % nitro. Castor oil-based fuels should contain at least 18 % of castor oil (or castor/synthetic oil blend) and 5–15 % nitromethane. (Although KAVAN four-strokes can also run well on „straight“ (no nitro) fuel, we recommend using fuel with at least a small nitromethane content –the engine operation is then highly reliable and carburettor adjustment is easier and less sensitive to temperature changes and other environmental influences.)

Recommended glow plug: KAVAN GP-1, O.S. MAX Type F, KAVAN Premium No.4T.
