Enduro Ecto Portal Trail Truck RTR
A performance rig built to endure. When hitting the trail, you want to do it with confidence and the answer is the Enduro Ecto Portal RTR Trail Truck!
The Ecto Portal RTR features new high-clearance portal axles. These new portal axles include all-metal gears, ball bearings, and a new larger pocket for a heavier-duty inner input bearing. With almost an inch more clearance than our standard straight axles, these axles are a perfect fit for the Enduro line-up.
At the heart of the Enduro Ecto Portal RTR is our revolutionary Stealth(r) X gearbox. Although the exterior appears to have a conventional 3-gear transmission look, the inside is far from conventional. The Stealth(r) X features the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio independently of the front drive across three levels: stock overdrives the front end 5.7% (installed in RTR), option 1 provides a one-to-one drive ratio front-to-rear (available separately), and option 2 overdrives the front end 11.83% (included with RTR).
Feeding the power to the tires are 3-piece telescopic driveshafts with an extruded aluminum center section, universal front drive axles, and hardened steel ring and pinion gears. With the Enduro drivetrain, delivering useful power will not be an issue.
As with all our Enduro chassis, the steering link assembly has been relocated from the conventional location to behind the axle (BTA). This feature greatly improves approach angle and front-end clearance, making rough terrain much easier to handle.
The Enduro Trail Truck comes ready for adventure right out of the box, with performance-driven electronics. The ultra-smooth and powerful 14-turn 5-slot brushed crawler motor is matched with a 2-in-1 electronic speed controller and receiver with built-in LED controller. Controlling the beast on the trail is a 4-channel 2.4GHz radio and Reedy Power high-torque metal gear servo.
With all this packed in one box, we know the Enduro Trail Truck is ready for the trail - Are you?
Chassis Features
- PORTAL AXLES: When it comes to rock crawling, ground clearance is crucial. That's why the Enduro Ecto Portal RTR includes our all-new high-clearance portal axles. With almost an inch of added center axle clearance, over standard straight axles, getting over tough obstacles is a breeze. To battle the massive amount of torque inherent with portal axles, we not only utilized metal gears throughout, but also use six screws to hold the portal gear boxes tight. With that many screws it means a stronger portal box and less chance of gears pulling apart under heavy loads.
- BTA steering and aluminum steering plates: Behind-the-axle steering provides better approach angles, more clearance, and a cleaner look. Bolt-on aluminum steering plates allow for more adjustments, strength, and future modifications.
- Integrated servo winch mount: Mounting a winch directly to the chassis is the strongest and most reliable spot on any trail rig. Positioned alongside the steering servo for overall chassis balance and weight distribution.
- Threaded aluminum shock bodies: Threaded aluminum and fluid-filled, these shocks keep the vehicle stable on the trail and retain oil even in the roughest terrain.
- Reedy Power crawler motor: The Reedy Power 5-slot
14-turn brushed crawler motor provides ample torque with a smooth power delivery. This allows for slow precise acceleration while maintaining consistent power over rough terrain and obstacles.- 2-in-1 ESC/receiver unit: The Ecto Portal RTR comes equipped with a 2-in-1 brushed electronic speed control (ESC) and receiver unit with built-in LED lighting controller.
- Optional gears: If more underdrive is desired, we also offer an optional Factory Team 12/23 gear set (sold separately) with approximately 36% underdrive for serious rock crawler addicts.
- Included is our performance-proven Stealth(r) X transmission that features the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio. In the box you get the standard 5.7% and 11.83% gear options. Paired with our all-new portal axles with zero percent underdrive, this is the perfect mild setup for the average crawler. If even more underdrive in the rear is desired, an optional 12/23 tooth gear set (#42372) is available separately for an additional 36% overdrive from axle-to-axle alone!
