77" RV8 ARF - silver/yellow 1,95m

OMPHOBBY RV-8 77″ is an attractive semi-scale sport aircraft inspired by the well-known American RV-8. With a wingspan of almost two metres, the model combines an impressive appearance with a design and aerodynamics optimised primarily for enjoyable and entertaining RC flying.

The RV-8 is certainly not limited to gentle passes along the runway. It offers pleasant and predictable handling over a wide speed range, while providing plenty of agility for dynamic sport flying and classic aerobatics. Loops, rolls, stall turns and other basic aerobatic manoeuvres are well within its capabilities.

The wing is equipped with flaps, allowing the model to slow down on approach and making landings more comfortable. The generous wing area and effective control surfaces contribute to confident handling even at lower speeds.

The model is based on a lightweight traditional all-wood construction. With a wingspan of 1992 mm and a length of 1482 mm, the flying weight is approximately 4100 g depending on the selected equipment. The two-piece wing makes transportation and preparation at the flying field easier.

The fixed undercarriage with streamlined wheel spats complements the sporty appearance of the model. Its simple design without a retractable undercarriage also reduces weight, complexity and maintenance requirements.

ARF version

The model is supplied as an ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) without motor, ESC, servos, receiver or flight battery. This allows you to select your own components and tailor the setup to your preferred flying style.

The model is designed for an electric power system using a 6S LiPo 4000–5000 mAh battery. The recommended propeller corresponding to the original power setup is 18×8″.
