RC Tire Balancer - The SkyRC Tire Balancer is a device for dynamically balancing the wheels of 1:10 and 1:8 scale RC road models. It can operate independently (when connected to a 12–18 V power supply), with all data displayed on a 2.8” LCD screen, or via a Bluetooth 5.0 connection with a smartphone (Android or iOS) running the RC Gears app.
Balancing is very simple—using an adapter (an adapter for 1:10 scale is included with the balancer; the 1:8 adapter is sold separately), the wheel is secured to the balancer’s shaft, and the measurement is started. The balancer’s stepper motor spins the wheel, and sensitive sensors verify the balance. If everything is OK, a message confirming proper balancing appears on the display (and in the app). If the wheel is not properly balanced, the display (and the app) shows the required counterweight weight, and the wheel stops in a position where the arrow at the bottom of the balancer points to where the counterweight should be placed. Then, simply weigh the supplied balancing compound on a precision scale and apply the counterweight to the inside of the rim. (Note: For some wheels, it may be necessary to repeat the balancing procedure and apply more than one counterweight as needed.)
The balancer set includes: Wheel balancer, 1:10 adapter, clamp, power cable with a coaxial connector and 5.5 mm and 4 mm banana plugs, balancing compound (10 g), carrying case, and user manual.
