SKY RC Ultimate Duo 260W (D260) Smart Dual-Channel Charger and Discharger with built-in balancers, delivering up to 130 W per channel for all battery types (NiMH, NiCd, LiPo, LiHV, Li-ion, LiFe, and Pb). The charger is designed to be powered from a 100–240 V/50–60 Hz AC outlet, a 12 V lead-acid battery (car battery or traction lead-acid battery), or a suitable regulated power supply (11–18 V/30 A). Unlike many chargers with a built-in power supply, the D260 delivers full charging power even when powered by its internal power supply.
The D260 is equipped with truly intelligent, user-friendly software that offers a range of very useful features and includes several welcome new additions:
- a program for new types of “high-voltage” LiHV lithium batteries with a charging cut-off voltage of up to 4.35 V
- setting the cut-off voltage for charging and discharging lithium batteries (allows for gentler charging, which pilots prefer, or, conversely, aggressive overcharging, favored by “car model enthusiasts”)
- Measurement of total voltage and individual cell voltages (for lithium batteries) even outside of charging/discharging
- Measurement of internal resistance of the entire pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- Micro USB port for communication with a PC and firmware updates
- When powered from the mains, both charger channels can also serve as stabilized power supplies of 5–25 V with an adjustable current limit of 0.1–14 A (max. 130 W)
Overview of Basic Functions and Parameters
- Input supply voltage: 11–18 V DC
- Mains power supply: 100–240 V/50–60 Hz

- Adjustable delta-peak detection sensitivity for NiCd and NiMH batteries
- Adjustable end-of-charge and end-of-discharge voltages for lithium batteries
- Repeated charge/discharge or discharge/charge cycles for NiCd and NiMH batteries, up to 5 cycles
- Four charging modes for lithium batteries—normal charging, fast charging, charging with emphasis on balancing, and storage charging/discharging.
- Charging termination when the set time or charge amount is exceeded.
- Memory for 10 charge/discharge programs per channel.
- Measurement of total pack voltage and individual cell voltages (for lithium batteries)
- Measurement of total internal resistance of the pack and individual cells (for lithium batteries)
- When powered from the mains, both channels can be used as a stabilized power supply with an output voltage of 5–25 V, adjustable current limit of 0.1–14 A, and maximum power of 130 W to power other electrical devices
- Micro USB port for communication with a PC and updating the charger’s firmware
- USB power output 5.0 V/2.1 A for powering/charging cell phones, tablets, and similar devices
- Backlit LCD display with a simple and intuitive menu and parameter display during charging/discharging
- A number of warning messages contribute to safe operation—incorrect input voltage, incorrect wiring, an unsuitable battery or its condition, incorrect output polarity
- Protection against reverse polarity and output short circuits.
- Compact aluminum enclosure
- Built-in fans for forced cooling
The charger is equipped with universal sockets for JST-XH service connectors, allowing direct connection of JST-XH service connectors for 2-6S battery packs. To connect service connectors from other systems, you can use standard Sky RC or RC System adapters.
Note: When charging lead-acid batteries, the charger uses a terminal voltage of 2.40 V/cell (or 2.46 V/cell in the AGM battery program and in the cold-charge program) – for this reason, it is suitable for charging conventional lead-acid batteries (car batteries) and gel batteries with a reversible valve. It is not suitable for charging gas-tight gel batteries, which must not be charged to more than 2.30 V/cell.
The charger set includes: the Ultimate Duo D260 charger, 2x charging/power cables with 4 mm banana plugs/XT60 connectors, a power cord, and a user manual.
